Meet My Other Half

Now that you know a bit more about me, it’s time for you to meet my other half!

I could easily go on and on about our relationship, but I thought it would be fun to let Brady do the talking. Check out the Q+A below to learn a thing or two about our love story!

FUN FACT: WE’VE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR OVER A DECADE

HOW DID YOU AND MARY FIRST MEET?

BRADY: My very first interaction with Mary was in middle school when I got a text from a number I didn’t know. It was Mary, who texted me on a dare even though we had never met before. Other than seeing each other in the hallway at school and going to one football game together in high school, we didn’t truly get to know each other until our sophomore year of college.

Mary and I really hit it off at a New Years Eve party in 2015. When she arrived, I made a point to go over and reconnect right away. I awkwardly hugged her from across a countertop, but it ended up paying off. We talked all night, and every day since!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF MARY?

B: Hottest girl on the tennis team! (I had lacrosse practice every day after high school next to the tennis courts.) But on New Years Eve, I remember thinking to myself, “Wow. I really want to hang out with this girl again.”

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TOGETHER?

B: Mary and I just celebrated four amazing years together.

FUN FACT: OUR FIRST KISS WAS ON NEW YEARS EVE AT MIDNIGHT

WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST DATE? WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH YOUR HEAD?

B: Our first official date was with another couple at a Navy basketball game. My initial thought when Mary invited me was “Wait, does Navy even have a basketball team?”

That evening was the first time I met Mary’s parents, who were awesome from the start. During the double date, Mary and I continued to hit it off. We had such a great night, and it set the tone for many great solo dates to follow!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE ADVENTURE THAT YOU'VE HAD TOGETHER?

B: Living in Nashville, definitely.

FUN FACT: MARY HAD AN INTERNSHIP IN NASHVILLE, SO WE LIVED THERE FOR THREE MONTHS TOGETHER

WHAT was YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT LIVING together IN NASHVILLE?

B: I loved living together because it meant that I could always see her without having to make plans to hang out. I also enjoyed playing little pranks on Mary, like messing with her pillows.

WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE MAY BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP?

B: We rarely ever fight or have big disagreements.

HOW DO YOU SUPPORT HER?

B: I support Mary by always asking questions and encouraging her to open up to me. She can always be herself.

WHAT’S SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR FUTURE TOGETHER THAT YOU’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO?

B: I am excited to see where our careers and common interests will take us. Maybe we will even train Nash to behave, who knows.

FUN FACT: WE HAVE A GOLDENDOODLE NAMED NASH
